of combustible thoughts

it's no secret that i stand in front of my espresso machine every morning steaming milk and pulling shots of yummy espresso. the milk-frothing part of the process does get a bit tedious and at times the schwshwshwshghshghshgh of high-powered steam being forced into milk puts me into somewhat of a trance. this particular morning i began pondering the mysteries of... well... spontaneous human combustion. don't know why that entered my mind, but it did. i was having quite a brilliant conversation with myself until i suddenly "woke up" from my thoughts just in time to catch my milk at a perfect 160 degrees, then went about the task at hand... creating a perfect latte.

mugs in hands (yes i'm a double-fisted drinker), i settled down at my computer and started downloading my email. it was the usual fare, except for a sporadic newsletter from HowStuffWorks.com. what?! i had to laugh at the subject header...
"How Spontaneous Human Combustion Works". an odd coincidence? divine 411 appointment? i know not. interesting, nonetheless. to me, anyway. just thinkin' out loud. (yes, i know i'm a raging bore, but this is MY blog and i can talk about whatever i want!!!)
