QotD: My Intro to the Big Screen

What was the first movie you remember seeing in a movie theater?

mary-poppins.jpg

I remember seeing Mary Poppins when I was about 5. It was playing at the theater on the Army base where my dad was stationed (and we lived) and I remember my mom paying 25 cents for my ticket. (crazy, huh?) I remember how the theater looked on the outside and I remember watching the movie for the first time... it was so awesome!! Having raised three girls in the video age, I have since watched it a hundred times, but I still remember with fondness that very first time. I know I'm a dork, but it still makes me giddy. Mary Poppins still reigns as one of my favorite childhood movies. Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey, chim chim cher-ee... a sweep is as lucky, as lucky can be...
