So after a false start (read: ordered, panicked and canceled all in the course of 10 minutes!) I finally placed my (for keeps) order for my Mac Book Pro (yeah, Pro!) Friday night. Today it has been picked up by FedEx in Shanghai, China. (Huh? I thought they came from California. I'm so naive.) I'll be tracking its progress compulsively, no doubt.

I was also a player in this scenario, but stepped out of character for a moment, pulling my camera out from beneath my petticoat (scandalous!) to snap this photo of General George Washington and his aide Tench Tilghman greeting the Duc de Lauzon and aide at Rippon Lodge in Virginia. We were portraying a stop along the march to Yorktown of Washington's and Rochambeau's troops in 1781.
Avast, me hearties! 'Tis a fine day for merriment! We all be celebratin' the natal day o' the Dread Pirate Princess Juliet! She's a fine little wench and she's havin' us all to her party -- the word on the sea is she's servin' sweet cakes and GROG! Aaaaargh! (that's a happy aaargh)

Not much of a story. My Vox name, kate, is simply my name. I guess I was just trying to keep things simple. :-)
I love Virginia and given all the choice and resources I would still choose to live here. There are several places in Virginia, however, where I would love to live... a historic house in Old Town Alexandria, a historic house in Colonial Williamsburg or in a beautiful and spacious waterfront house in Virginia Beach. Heck, I'll take just about any house in Virginia Beach. ;-)
