Okay, we hate to ask, but... over the roll or under the roll?
You hate to ask... I hate to say... but there are technical reasons that one might wish to choose "under the roll". Anyone who has a mischievous cat or a curious toddler should hang the TP in the "under" position. No matter how hard the little critter (feline OR human) bats the roll to spin the paper off, they will not succeed.
Personally, I have neither suspect currently residing in my home, so I just let fate rule and pop the roll on without regard to which way it hangs.
