What method do you use to prepare your coffee or tea?

morning latte

My espresso machine gets a workout every morning (hey, at least one of us does!) and delivers a very welcome 4 shots of espresso for my daily latte. Yum!

The morning cup of coffee has an exhilaration about it which the cheering influence of the afternoon or evening cup of tea cannot be expected to reproduce.

~Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr., "Over the Teacups" 1891

When I take tea in the afternoon, I pour freshly boiled water over Scottish Breakfast (Taylors of Harrogate) tea leaves and let it steep 3 to 5 minutes, depending on whether I'm in the mood to have it black or with milk and sugar. Tea is a wonderful afternoon "pick me up"!

You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.

~C.S. Lewis

A Proper Tea is much nicer than a Very Nearly Tea, which is one you forget about afterwards.

~A.A. Milne

I have a senseo coffee machine which I love to bits. We get quite a few flavours here in europe, comparatively to the States, so the choice is pretty good, some funky cups and the machine itself will be a design classic in a few years - I think....
