Movable Type 4.1

I just installed and upgraded in a flash. Now I'm stumped. After refreshing templates from System Overview|Blogs and republishing, I am left wondering... where is my sidebar content?????? I have resaved and republished, checked settings and more, but to no avail. No sidebar love for upgraded blog. (Though not a problem with newly created blogs.)

Update: Refreshing templates from Blog|Design|Templates and subsequent republish was successful. This is a change from previous versions where refreshing did not work in blog context and had to be done at system level. Is that by design? Hmmm.

Anyway, I love, love, love the fresh, new features and the continuing improvements to "vintage" MT features, as well.

Overheard in an Art Store

Employee #1: Hey, how many inches in a foot?

Employee #2: 24.

Employee #1: Are you sure?

Employee #2: No, um... 36... I think.

Employee #1: I thought 36 inches was a yard.

Employee #2: Um... yeah, I think you're right... there's 24 inches in a foot.

Employee #1: OK... thanks! (returns to poor unsuspecting customer on phone)

Did you notice that *12* inches was never mentioned? Holy Moly! I was dumbfounded (but not as DUMB as THEM) as I watched and listened to these two twenty-somethings discuss how many inches was in a foot. YES, I know it would have been merciful of me to intervene and correct them both... at the moment I was speechless... what can I say?

i was anticipating the ninja yumminess of a spinach feta omelet this morning, indulging my semi-annual egg craving. i chopped, crumbled, cracked, and swirled and finally poured the amazing goop into a sizzling pan... oh the aroma... believe me when i say you WISH you were here. or not. hmmm... that one spinach leaf sure looks black, but that's okay, i'm sure it's fine. well, maybe i should just pick it out and... huh?! eeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww! a DRAGonfly wing! blechhhhhhhh!

i guess i can be grateful it wasn't a finger. :-P
